Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)

Youth risk behaviors are activities, such as illicit drug use, that contribute significantly to death, disability, and social problems, and are established during childhood and early adolescence. The YRBS reports risky behaviors among students in Acton and Boxborough and surrounding towns in grades 6 and 8-12. Based on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention model, YRBS has been conducted under the auspices of Emerson Hospital every two years since 2000. The results for the 2006 Emerson Youth Risk Behavior Survey will be available in Spring 2007.
